THE END OF PYRAMID SCHEMES By: Joe Warren Pyramid schemes are a scam, but why hasn't our gov't recognized that? Rephrase, but why does our government put out warning about MLM's and Ponzi schemes, but not their own, such as, maybe, social security. Our modern times are hypocratic at its peak. We have global flat wages, exceptionally high unemployment, and the USA has lost it manufacturing industry and it is desperately trying to sustain itself as a service country! We critize China as a piracy country, without understanding their culture or their retail, nor do American's appreciate their loans, which were necessary because of American corporate greed and schemes.
Social Security is a defunt plan. Now, knowing that it is defunt would you put your money into a defunt plan? No, but we are, and we are forced to. Social Security wages don't buy anything anymore. Again, hypocracy at it s best, as it was to be money on which to live as a mandatory government savings plan, in order to avoid the "ecomonic plague" of the downtrodden in the 1930's. Government participation and creation of this plan, served a purpose at one time, but it no longer serves it purpose. Like the iceman. He no longer needs to cometh to deliver ice to your ice box. It was once a necessary creation, but now, it is a hypocracy and the continuation is suicide.
Social Security is by no means the only failing and quickly falling ideology-gone-old. There are numerous companies and many industries. The music industry has lost revenue hand-over-fist due to its pyramid scheme and opting for control over the music, rather than compensation to the artist. They have alienated the artist and the audience. Without the artist, the record companies would not exist. And without the audience, the artist would not exist. The chain is simple, yet their Old Guard attitude is not so simple. Simply out-moded, yes, but not simple in its partnerships, greed and longstanding schemes. The Film and TV Industry's pyramid is the same as the music industry. A almost complete lack of respect for the artist's work effort exists in today's modern pop culture, as rights are bantied about, pay-outs are nill, piracy is rampant and suing your audience is common. Entrenched in only highering from within and nepetism and amateur, youth leading the decisions of programming has led to a bully organization afraid of it's own shadow and deathly fearful of letting go of old ways that no longer apply to today's sociology.
Today's society is in charge and they are rising to embrace a newness, a new economy, a new structure, a new fairness. They no longer have to succomb to the pre-determined decisions of the corporate sector, or the record labels, or broadcasters, and they should not have to put in hard-earned money into a defunt system. But still they do, because, sadly still they must. Social Security is still garnishing wages the most miniscule of payouts, and Medicare is still demanding penalties for alleged non-compliance of plan members. Broadcasters are insistent upon deluging the public with music and television programs that can listened to and viewed in a myriad of places, at specific times, while still gouging the audience, yet again, for the service, they have paid for, thrice prior. And non of this certainly makes calculated sense, fiscally or personally, yet it all exists and is adhered to. The CEO of Microsoft said "There will be no media consumption left in 10 years, that is not delivered over an IP network. There will be no newspapers, no magazines, no that is delivered in paper form. Everything gets delivered in an electronic form." Personally, there is a problem with such a stedfast statement, as they also said radio wouldn't exist, but it is still here, yet we understand from this CEO the jist of his statement; the world is changing.
So, when is all this pyramid-scheme-thing going to stop? When it reaches critical mass? My friends, we are officially paddling-out to critical mass. I hope you have on your winter wet-suit, ‘cause it's going to be a cold ride!

These schemes will no longer work, culturally or economically. Just like the government pyramid scheme of Social Security has come to its end, many other pyramid types will also fail. Sure, for a while everyone prospered, just like those in the Ponzy scheme. And just like the Ponzy shceme which has been chastised and raked-over-the coals, Social Security too needs to be dismantled.
The house of pyramid is falling. Fast.
The people are now in charge of their entertainment and their money. They see where the pyramid is leading them and they are rebelling. And the powers that be, like a naïve Mum and Dad, tighten their rules and the people, like children, rebel even more.
Face it. This not our parent's world anymore.
