This month's most popular game is "Gears of War 2" featured for the "Xbox 360".

This exciting hit thriller game is at the head of its time. Being the sequel to the popular game "Gears of War", it has everything the first game left out. Incorporating the type of a first-person-shooter with a classic war and strategy game made it a "hands-on" type of control with the ability to have a full setting and plot. Not to mention the thriving graphics, which adds the extra touch of reality to the game. The visuals, storyline, and sounds make it a game to be remembered.

"Gears of War 2" otherwise known as "Gears 2" has a full plot. Picking up where the first game left off, in the heat of a war deep into the future. Once again we are brought into the life of a soldier, also the game's main character, "Marcus Fenix".

This soldier was first left to die, but is now again challenged with the task of keeping the human race alive. Marcus and many other fictional players found in "Gears 2" struggle to keep back the hordes of swarming locust. Locusts are creatures shaped like humans that live deep under the surface of the earth.

They tunnel various passageways in a somewhat formation of a hive. Where the locust reside in the underground hive formation is called ‘The Hollow'. The locust's goal is to sink the cities of humans by tunneling under them and to make sure no human is left alive. Marcus and his small troupe of soldiers are left to exterminate the locust and save the human race.

As in many other war games "Gears 2" has an assortment of weapons and grenades. A popular weapon that was used in both Gears 1 and 2 would be the lancer. For something everyone can relate to, the lancer is a redesigned SMG with double the firepower, with an incorporated chainsaw at the front of the gun. There are many other futuristic guns and weaponry found in "Gears 2" as well. "Gears of War 2" is a great game for anyone searching for a thrilling plot with excellent graphics and game play.
