What’s the latest? Who’s wearing what? What’s in this Holiday Season and what’s not?

Well, here’s the fashion news, straight off the press! Ready, set, go! The fashion news is that this year, for the holiday’s, it’s a free for all! Anything goes! Long, short, fun, sexy, open, closed…this season, it’s all about silhouette, and what makes you feel gorgeous!

And feeling good and gorgeous is what it’s all about! So, let’s go over our options and remember that the holidays are here and that we are able to pick the most flattering lines for ourselves this season and all will be well!

The main idea for the season is festive and of course the traditional greens, reds, golds, and gem colors. Also, no T-shirts. No. Don’t go there! Be aware of your bodies and appreciate them and make the most of them this holiday season. Don’t hide and put on frumpy clothes. Wear something that makes you feel good, find the outfit that everyone used to say, “wow” to and then find that same silhouette!

It’s all about the silhouette that best suits your body and body style.

Empire? Flattering for all and welcome in today’s wardrobe!

A-line? Flattering also except for the super-hipped figure, and also the no-bust woman.

Skirts? Only if you have enough distance of at least 10” difference in circumference from your bust to your waist to your hips.

Jackets over shirts, yes! Eisenhower, or riding, a jacket, is always a good look. It gives a good line drawing the eye downwardly and thinningly, and jackets cover those arms! But if you’re “hippy” be careful of the riding jacket that it’s not too snug; and if you’re jacket comes to your hips a la Hillary Clinton, stop, look in the mirror, and regroup, not many women can wear the skirt-jacket-suit thing so don’t worry, find something else in your wardrobe and get on with it.

Shirts over shirts? Fine.

So the fashion this season is all about not hiding your favorite silhouette! And finding your favorite silhouette and flaunting it!

Feel free this holiday season, of all seasons, to go to your armoire and pick-out what looks best on you, without fear of being “out-of-fashion”! And since anything goes, you may don what’s best for your body style. You go, and you get, and you find, and you wear, and honey, you will conquer!
