CRANBERRY SAUCE.  RELISH THIS DISH!

Cranberries, as flavorful as the memories.

Cranberry Sauce that's as aromatic and warming as the memory of picking a basket of berries in the boggs. The spices and steeping create a mulling effect that has everyone in the Thanksgiving spirit. Try it for a certain delight!

This sauce may be made the day before, or the day of. The longer it sits, the longer it steeps. It's a delish relish that's the perfect compliment to the “yams, more please” recipe. So, here we go.

Cranberries, as flavorful as the memories.

The Ingredients:

1 ½ Cups Sugar

½ tsp Ground Cinnamon

½ tsp Ground Cloves

¼ tsp Ground Ginger

4 whole Allspice

3 Whole Cloves

3 Whole Cinnamon Sticks

¾ Cups Water

1 Bag of Cranberries (8-10oz)

1 tsp Grated Tangerine or Orange Zest.

The Directions:

Bring all ingredients (except Cranberries and Orange peel) to a boil, stirring frequently. Let the color change to a nice caramel color.

Add cranberries. Let some pop. Turn down heat.

Add orange or tangerine zest.

Turn off heat.

Let stand. Cover

Place in refrigerator for 3 hours.

Serve chilled.

This relish is exquisite. It also makes a great condiment for the inevitable turkey sandwiches which are sure to follow.

So, enjoy the fragrance as well as the flavor in this wonderful cranberry sauce.

It's to be relished!
