(SIMI VALLEY, Calif.) - The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is pleased to announce the opening of its latest temporary exhibit, Magna Carta: The Essence of Democracy. The exhibit opened January 23 and will run through June 20, 2009. Magna Carta: The Essence of Democracy provides visitors with a fascinating look at why the Magna Carta is widely viewed as one of the most important documents in the history of our freedom and how it became the cornerstone of the U.S. Constitution. The highlight of this exhibit is the original 1215 Magna Carta, on loan from the Lincoln Cathedral in Lincolnshire, England.

You're finally on vacation! You have been planning this trip to Spain for over a year. You're excited! The last thing on your mind is being a victim of a crime, right?
WRONG!
Unfortunately, we are living in a world where we MUST anticipate the unfortunate.
When you are in a foreign country, such as Spain, you must ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings. Understandably, constantly being on guard is not such a fun way to spend a holiday, but in the long run, being safe is ALWAYS better than being sorry. Think about it this way: Who wants to remember their vacation for "losing" a favorite ring or a substantial amount of money?

Los Angeles, the City of Angels has been fabulous. We have squeezed so much into our five days, this entry covers the first four. Our drive back from Vegas took us through the Mohabe desert. We started the road trip with the hood down, but we had to pull over to put it up and put the air con on, as the temperature was over 110F. Phew, now that is hot! LA conjures up images of Hollywood and the rich and famous. We had made a list of things that we wanted to do and started off our sightseeing with a guided tour of the stars homes... |
